Everyone likes to be appreciated and recognized for a job well done! This is the purpose of the Summit Awards, Pierce County’s ongoing recognition program. Whether it’s starting the very first vanpool at a worksite, or helping a co-worker find a carpool partner, every effort put into making a transportation program better makes a difference!
Who handles your transportation benefits program at your worksite? Does he/she do an outstanding job promoting commute alternatives such as riding the bus, carpooling or vanpooling, walking or biking to work? If so, perhaps he or she will be the next Employee Transportation Coordinator (ETC) of the Quarter!
During each quarter throughout the year in Pierce County, up to four Employee Transportation Coordinators (ETCs) are chosen, “ETC of the Quarter.” These deserving employees are surprised at their worksites with a personalized Summit Award and a special gift. This is a great way to show management and other co-workers what a great job they are doing promoting transportation benefits.
How will these awards be chosen? The Employee Transportation Coordinators must “toot” their own horns and tell us all the great things they’re doing at their worksites to promote ridesharing efforts! For more information on how to receive an “Employee Transportation Coordinator” of the Quarter Summit award, contact Sharon Stockwell at sstockwell@piercetransit.org or 253.581.8112.
