Everyone likes to be appreciated and recognized for a job well done! That’s why we created the Summit Awards, Pierce County’s ongoing recognition program. Whether it’s starting the very first vanpool at a worksite, or helping a co-worker find a carpool partner, every effort put into making a transportation program better makes a difference!
Who handles the transportation benefits program at your worksite? Does he/she do an outstanding job promoting commute alternatives such as riding the bus, biking, walking, ridesharing or teleworking? If so, he or she could be the next Employee Transportation Coordinator (ETC) of the Quarter!
Every quarter in Pierce County up to five Employee Transportation Coordinators (ETCs) are acknowledged as “ETC of the Quarter.” These deserving employees are surprised at their worksites with a personalized Summit Award and a special gift. The Summit Awards are a great way to show management and co-workers that the efforts an ETC makes are extremely valuable in creating and promoting a workplace transportation program.
How are the Summit Awards chosen? The Pierce Trips Team bases their decision on the Quarterly and Annual Reports that ETCs submit. This means it’s up to the ETCs to let us know about all the great things they’re doing at their worksites to promote smart commuting! For more information on how to receive a Summit award, or to nominate your worksite ETC, contact Karen Henderson, Business Partnerships Coordinator, at kahenderson@piercetransit.org or 253.581.8008.
