Community Transit is the public transit authority of Snohomish County, excluding the city of Everett, which is served by Everett Transit. Community Transit operates 46 routes through local bus routes and commuter buses to downtown Seattle and the University of Washington. Community Transit provides paratransit and vanpool services, and access tot he Edmonds and Mukilteo Ferry Terminals.

Everett Transit is the public transit authority for the City of Everett. Everett Transit operates 11 local routes. Everett Transit provides access to the Mukilteo Ferry Terminal.

Intercity Transit is the public transit authority for Thurston County, and serves the cities of Lacey, Olympia, Tumwater, and Yelm. Intercity Transit operates 24 bus routes, paratransit, and vanpool services.

Kitsap Transit is the public transit authority for Kitsap County. Kitsap Transit operates 40 routes, a foot ferry, worker-driver buses, paratransit, vanpool services and provides access to Seattle, Vashon Island, and Edmonds ferries.

King County Metro Transit is the public transit authority for King County. Metro operates 215 routes, and provides remote area service (DART), paratransit service (Access), Night Owl bus service, watertaxi services to West Seattle and Vashon Island (operated by King County), and rideshare service. King County Metro also provides access to Bainbridge Island, Bremerton, Vashon Island, and Southworth ferries.

Pierce Transit


Pierce Transit is the public transit authority for Pierce County. Pierce Transit operates 34 local and regional routes, and provides paratransit service, vanpool service, and access to Steilacoom and Point Defiance Ferry Terminals.

Sound Transit


Sound Transit is a public transit authority serving King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. Sound Transit operates regional express buses (to cities in all three counties), the commuter rail (from Everett to Lakewood), the light rail system (from Angle Lake to the University of Washington), and the streetcars in downtown Seattle and Tacoma. Additionally, Sound Transit manages the regional ORCA fare card system as well.
