Light Rail Options

T Line (formerly known as Tacoma Link)

Work or live in Downtown Tacoma? Consider catching the Tacoma Link Light Rail downtown; it’s free and runs from the Tacoma Dome Station to 9th and Commerce every 12-24 minutes.

Tacoma Link Light Rail is expanding, opening in early 2023!

Sound Transit is adding 2.4 miles and 6 stops to the existing Light Rail route, connecting residents and visitors to parks, businesses, medical facilities, venues, and connections to other Sound Transit and Pierce Transit routes.

Tracks run in existing road lanes and are compatible with on-street parking and existing bicycle facilities. Platforms are located in the center roadway. The project also includes expansion of the Operations and Maintenance Facility located on East 25th Street to accommodate five new light rail vehicles.
